We’ve all been through traumas at some point in our lives. Whether it is an abusive childhood, an unloving, emotionally distant family, or bullying at schools; as humans, we tend to go through different kinds of hardships and tribulations that shape the way we think, view life as, and make decisions.
In this blog, I look forward to sharing how you can heal from traumas spiritually by using healing meditations, psychotherapy, and other tactics. I’ve also shared an exclusive resource that I use to manifest my dreams effortlessly and master at life.

Spiritually Healing from Trauma: 5 Exercises To Smooth The Way
1. Give Up Affirmations & Ask Questions Instead
In a previous blog, I shared that affirmations help with manifestation of dreams and goals. To heal from trauma, however, you’ve got to give up affirmations and ask questions instead. Speaking affirmations to yourself is soothing, but they don’t jumpstart your brain. Standing in front of the mirror and saying, “Will I love and accept myself today?” is what that will kickstart your brain to search for answers. It will help shut off your default setting for 6 hours or so. It will encourage you to buy yourself some flowers or chocolates.
In essence, a critical part of healing is figuring out self-acceptance and loving yourself by pushing away the guilt about all that you didn’t get done.
2. Create A Blessing Cup
Not the old-school journaling trick – the blessing bowl might look like a cliched term but it’s actually really fun and creative. In a blessing bowl, you write something you would categorize as a blessing on a small piece of paper, fold it up, and put it into the bowl. I personally use a glass bowl with colored paper to keep it looking pretty.
A blessing can be anything from absence of something annoying, a positive change or moment to a sweet note that your kid wrote for you. What you label as a blessing is up to you but you’ve got to recognize a blessing for every day.
Do this for a month, and on the last day of calendar, re-read all the folded pieces of paper. You’ll feel a weight being lifted off your shoulders. It will also help you get through a stressful moment that you’re anticipating in your life. Try it out.
3. Healing Meditations
How much time do you really “spend” within yourself? I’m taking about consciousness – the few hours that you give to yourself and no one else. My morning routine is paramount to staying in-flow and destressing before the whole house wakes up. I rise up early, meditate, do yoga practice, mindfulness exercises, and anything that involves indulging in a self-care ritual.
There’s another simple breathing practice that you can implement in your healing meditation routine. First, surrender yourself in the moment. Close your eyes and inhale through your nose for a count of two, then exhale gently for a count of four. Keep breathing evenly and set a timer for at least five minutes.

4. Cleanse Your Energy
Did you know that spiritual healing is broken down into three steps? These are cleansing, blessing, and protection. The first step is most often overlooked and can be carried out in different ways. Some people love a good ritual bath, which is a healing remedy used to treat personal burnout. It is recommended to use nettle seeds and dandelion seeds in the cleansing bath for regeneration.
Try sinking in a warm, aromatic water tub with flowers floating on the surface. Close your eyes, feel the moment, and focus at ‘releasing’ energy. Another way to cleanse special energy is to connect with nature and spend time gardening your spirit. When you take your soul back to its roots – the soil, wind, and water – you feel a deeper connection to your intuition and inner purpose.
5. The Act Of Spiritually Letting Go
To heal from trauma spiritually, you need to let go of all the baggage you’ve been carrying with yourself. Some people find performing fire rituals effective. In this, they write down their past traumas, abusive secrets, and everything that have damaged them on a piece of paper and burn it in a fireproof vessel or flushing it down in a toilet. They would also burn the remnants of their trauma – such as a photograph with haunted memories – to ‘let go’ of what they’ve been holding back.
In other cases, people also light candles as a way to literally illuminate space and vision of oneself.
Spiritually healing from trauma is pivoted on forgiveness and approval. You have got to forgive yourself, let go of things that were hurtful, and approve of the version you are today.
